The product range covers digital and analog mammography units, mobile mammography units, stereotactic biopsy devices and breast positioning systems.

Planmed Oy exports more than 98% of its production to over 70 countries worldwide. The principal markets are Europe, Japan, Oceania as well as North and Latin America where Planmed Oy has considerable market shares.

Established in 1989 Planmed Oy has evolved into the fourth biggest manufacturer within the field. The company is headquartered in Helsinki (Finland), and has a subsidiary Planmed Inc. in the U.S.

Planmed Oy is part of the Finland-based Planmeca Group which manufactures and markets advanced equipment for the medical and dental field.

Planmed products are ISO 9001 certified and therefore qualify to display the CE Mark on all products sold in Europe. The certificate ensures that all production and customer service functions are continuously evaluated and improved. Planmed Oy is also proud to support the ISO 14001 international environmental management standard.

The quality system has been certified by Det Norske Veritas Classification. The accredited certification body has verified that the organization and all the functions of Planmedfulfill the requirements stated in the standard ISO 9001. Manufacturing is done in accordance with the requirements stated in the standard ISO 13485.
